About Will the air compressor in a 1986 Lincoln TC work with newer air shocks

Will the air compressor in a 1986 Lincoln TC work with newer air shocks?
Rear quarter panal has air compressor that runs, yet doesn't work in the shocks. So I want to get new air shocks that I can add air to when needed, but want to hook it up to original compressor . Will this work, or do I have to disconnect compreesor and add line in/ out for air? Can't even ride with anyone over 90 pounds and this lowers the rare conciderably

I'm not sure exactly what you're saying. Your Lincoln has an air suspension and if it is sagging in the rear the problem is usually a leak in one of the air bags. Is that what you mean by air shocks? Air shocks are something completely different. At any rate if you replace one or more airbags you don't need to replace the compressor or add another line. If you are adding air shocks you will probably need another compressor. The Lincoln system uses ride height to control the compressor. I don't think you would want to use the air suspension compressor to fill a separate set of air shocks. Arnott Industries and Bagmaster are two of the larger companies that supply Lincoln airbags but neither one shows a 1986 Lincoln in their catalog. They only show 1990-current Lincolns
