if i installed a new head unit in a 2003 lincoln navigator would my steering wheel controls not work anymore?
i had a bmw that i put a new stereo in once and my cruise control and other options wouldnt work would it do the same for a navigator? alright thanks what about cruise control would it mess with that at all?

yes, the controlls are only for the factory stereo

It would not work right out of the box. You would need to get a PAC adapter to make them work with the new head unit. Here is an example of one for your vehicle that works with Pioneer and Sony radios.
